If you live in Oklahoma, you may think you have a boring state, however, that is not true. You have many haunted houses that are exciting and quiet an adventure to visit. If you want to go visit them then here are two located in Guthrie.
Dominion House-
Also known as The Mason Children's Home, this house was built in the early 1920's and is located east of Highway 77. This home was built by the Mason's to provide a comfortable warm place for children whose parents go no longer care for them. It ran until 1978 when Oklahoma voted to have a foster care system. There are rumors of children being beaten to death, staff committing suicide and other horrible incidents at this home. No one knows exactly what happened within this house during the time it housed hundreds of children but now there is definitely unrest. Many people have seen a girl begging to be rescued, There is also a woman who walks down the main hallway and many people report hearing crying and screaming, probably from the children who were abandoned by parents.
Stone Lion Inn-
This home was built over a century ago and was home to the 12 Houghton children, a funeral home, boarding houses and more. Two entities have been repeatedly seen and heard including one that is believed to be Augsuta Houghton who died when she was 8 because the nurse gave her the wrong medication. She used to go to her old playroom and remove all the toys in the closet, she also enjoys touching peoples faces and taking naps on a bed. It is believed that she is searching for her mother to move on together. Another male presence has been seen. He enjoys smoking cigars and has even helped guest do things they couldn't themselves.
